Dear Brevard and Seminole County Citizens,

During my entire 27 year law career I have been committed to serving the citizens of Brevard and Seminole County with honor and integrity while seeking justice. I will bring that same strong commitment and extensive experience to my service as your State Attorney.

There are many attributes I bring to this position but here are three elements at the core of my candidacy: Experience, Integrity and Commitment. My nearly 3 decades of experience as an Assistant State Attorney in Brevard and Seminole County includes serving as a Division Chief of the Consumer Fraud, Civil and White Collar Crime Division for 10 years, the Neighborhood State Attorney Initiative since 1999 and Operation Cease-Fire, a Project Safe Neighborhoods initiative, since 2002. I have successfully developed, implemented and supervised three nationally recognized programs that were the first of their kind in Florida. I have written 11 grants that have brought in more than 2 million dollars of funding for the State Attorney's office and our local law enforcement partners. I have helped organize and participate in numerous community based partnerships and task forces that involve citizens, law enforcement, public, private and faith based organizations. I am a nationally recognized speaker in the area of community prosecution, community outreach and crime prevention. I have the legal, programmatic and administrative experience that is necessary to successfully run the State Attorney's Office.

I am very proud of my reputation for integrity and service. I have twice been awarded the annual State Attorney Pride in Excellence award and received the Brevard County Bar Association's 2010 Professionalism award for my many years of legal assistance to the community. I have been recognized by the D.A.V. and the National Veterans Homeless Support group for my work with veterans and recently received an award from the Brevard County Weed and Seed program for my efforts in helping them become a nationally recognized program.

My commitment to serving this community is the foundation of my legal career. I am a life-long resident of Brevard County. My wife and I have a home in North Brevard where I was raised and where we are now raising our family. I have only practiced law in Brevard and Seminole County because this is my home and I care deeply about making this a safe community for all of us. I would be honored to serve as your State Attorney.
